The 2005 English Carnival will be held at Taipei 101

The 2005 English Carnival will be held from December 20 to 22 on the 5th floor of Taipei 101. Premier Frank Hsieh will present the awards to thirty-three government agencies that have achieved excellent performance in creating an English-friendly living environment. The exhibition in this year will be distinctive, unlike those of the preceding years. Twenty government agencies and schools will exhibit their achievements at the carnival. Another twenty government agencies and schools will put up live performances on their achievements in occupational English training. The carnival will include activities such as plays, dance and singing performances, fashion show, flag team performances, quizzes, lucky draw, etc. You can expect lots of fun and entertainment at the carnival.

The Research, Development and Evaluation Commission, organizer of the carnival, says that the government has been promoting an English-friendly environment for three years. Significant accomplishments have been achieved. The government efforts have been highly praised by the American Chamber of Commerce in Taipei and the European Chamber of Commerce Taipei. We will display and share our achievements with our foreign friends and citizens through live performances and exhibitions at the 2005 .
